Integra Telecommunication's first-quarter revenue fell sharply to ₹0.04 crore, leading to a net loss. The company's performance has deteriorated significantly compared to the same period last year.

Integra Telecommunication and Software Ltd. reported a severe contraction in its first-quarter earnings, with revenue plummeting and the company slipping into a loss. The results highlight a stark reversal from a profitable position just a year ago, raising questions about its current operational scale.

Revenue for Q1 FY24 stood at a mere ₹0.04 crore, a staggering 85.7% decline from the ₹0.28 crore earned in Q1 FY23. Sequentially, revenue was flat compared to the previous quarter. More critically, the company posted a net loss of ₹0.02 crore for the quarter. This represents a 110% drop year-on-year from a profit of ₹0.20 crore and an 83.3% deterioration from the prior quarter's loss of ₹0.12 crore. The net profit margin collapsed to -50%, a dramatic swing from a healthy 71.4% margin a year ago.

A look at the last five quarters reveals a clear downward trajectory after a strong first half of FY23.

Key Points

  • The trailing twelve-month (TTM) net profit margin stands at 4.9%, a fraction of the 59.4% margin reported for the full FY22.
  • Despite the earnings pressure, the balance sheet shows low leverage with a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.06 and a strong current ratio of 7.62.
  • The company's valuation appears disconnected from current performance, trading at a P/E of 212.5, a 618% premium to the IT industry average.

The company's immediate challenge is to reignite revenue growth and return to profitability, as the current earnings level is unsustainable.
